The invention relates to a device for adjusting opposite guide segments of a continuous casting or continuous casting and rolling in preferably three different positions, in each case one guide segment with a hydraulic cylinder is connected (1) and the opposite guide segment with its piston (8) and piston rod (10) wherein the piston (8) is double-acting and is formed at least one of the three positions defined by a stop surface in the cylinder interior. The solution according to the invention permits in a simple way, three different cylinder positions can be adjusted, are defined by abutment surfaces of the hydraulic cylinder (1), wherein at least one of the stop surfaces outside the hydraulic cylinder (1) is arranged.
