UJI KELENGKETAN TANAH PERMUKAAN BAJAK SINGKAL YANG DILAPISI SENG PADA BERBAGAI KADAR AIR TANAH ULTISOL

The research objective was to determine of the soil stickiness test of the surface of the moldboard plow coated by zinc at various ultisol soil mosture content. The method used was Factorial Randomized Block Design which consist two treatment factors and each treatment was repeated three times. The first material was type (A) the second and soil moisture content (B). Type material have two level of treatmens with type material are steel and zinc, and soil moisture content have three level treatment are we soil moisture content (>30%), medium soil moisture content (25-30%) and dry soil moisture content (>20%). Observation parameters are soil stickiness (g), moldboard working depth (cm), moldboard cutting width (cm), height of plowed soil (cm) and inverted soil width (cm). The results showed that the type of moldboard material had a significant effect on the soil stickiness. Steel plows have a greater stickiness to the ground than zinc coated plows. Soil stickinees is also influenced by moisture content, the heigher the moisture content greater the stickiness of the soil. Average of soil stickiness with wet soil moisture content using a steel moldboard plow of 316.2 g and a moldboard plow using a zinc layer of 85 g. soil stickiness with medium soil moisture content using a steel moldboard plow of 125.01 g and a moldboard plow using a zinc layer of 73.96 g. Soil stickiness with dry soil moisture content using steel moldboard plow of 87.85 g and moldboard plow using zinc layer of 14.86 g.
