Hearing Impaired Children with Associated Disabilities: A Team Evaluation

1976
The article describes the results of a two year clinical study of hearing impaired children ages 18 months to 21 years for whom educational programing was being sought. Following assessment by a team of clinicians from five disciplines, comprehensive reports to the current functioning and projected needs of each child were prepared. Results of the two year study revealed a large population of hearing impaired children with associated disabilities who had not previously been reported in the literature and for whom flexible educational programing seemed essential.
