In the Colombian Caribbean region is the traditional interpretation by wind bands genres porro, fandango and puya. However, there is little research has been done on the evolution of these groups and genders for them interpreted in relation to other musical offerings, meaning they pose to human life and modern Caribbean woman, the actual contributions of these music at the regional, national and global genres, and the contribution of these groups in forging identity and Caribbean elements sense. The departments of Cordoba and Sucre have the privilege of a nationally recognized bandistico movement, strengthened by the Meeting of Bands, held annually in Sincelejo and Porro Festival in San Pelayo, who are two facts of great musical and sociocultural interest. Like its decisive influence and cultural understanding with the parties corraleja regionally. The research aimed to describe the socio-cultural and historical characteristics of wind bands and genres played by them.
