Kappa light chain restriction correlates with peripheral neuropathy in patients with non-IgM monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance.

Monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance (MGUS) can be associated with significant neurologic morbidity. Several studies have linked IgG and IgA gammopathies with peripheral neuropathy in patients with non-IgM MGUS [1]. The most common peripheral neuropathy types in these patients are distal symmetric axonal neuropathy and chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy [1, 2].
