Analysis of Temperature Shrinkage of Continuous Oblique-Reinforced Transverse Prestressed Concrete Pavement

In order to solve the problem that common concrete pavement has to build transverse joints for its properties of expansion and contraction,a new type of pavement slab named continuous oblique-reinforced transverse prestressed concrete pavement is proposed.In this paper,its mechanical and deformation behaviors under the influence of temperature drop are compared with other structure forms of pavements by FEM software Abaqus.Analysis results show that oblique-reinforced transverse prestressed concrete pavement could take advantage of deformation transfer competence of oblique steels,and while applying prestressing force on slab along transverse direction,longitudinal prestressing force appears which would effectively counteract temperature shrinkage stress along driving direction.Thus this paper provides corresponding theoretical support for the feasibility study on jointless concrete pavement.
