The object of the present invention metal nanoparticles functionalised with neuropeptide VIP and the method of preparing said nanoparticles. The nanoparticles of the present invention have selective bonds of nanoparticles peptides in two possible orientations, {2} NH group or COOH group. In this latter orientation, the peptides if they are recognized by the cell membrane receptors, which provides a tool to discern dependent and independent receptor. The peptide used has been VIP, whereby a wide spectrum of biological functions is obtained, including immunomodulation, predominantly acting as a potent anti-inflammatory and an inhibitor of Th1 response in the immune system agent and emerging as an important factor therapeutic for the treatment of autoimmune diseases with inflammatory and components.
