The present invention relates to a kind of catalytic activity composition of the carbon monoxide in reformate streams that hydrogen and carbon dioxide are included for selective methanation, the composition includes at least one element selected from ruthenium, rhodium, nickel and cobalt being located on carrier material as active component and rhenium as dopant.The catalyst of the present invention is preferred for implementing methanation reaction within the temperature range of 100 300 DEG C for producing the hydrogen for fuel cells applications.
