Reanalysis of Rare-Gas Diamagnetic Susceptibilities Obtained from Scattering-Factor Measurements

We have reanalyzed some results on rare-gas diamagnetic susceptibilities using different theoretical models to calculate a correction used in analyzing the experimental data. We find the final experimental susceptibility to be very model dependent. We conclude that the original scattering data does not allow for a well-defined experimental determination of diamagnetic susceptibility.
