Treatment of dysuria caused by antipsychotics

Objective To analyze the treatment methods for dysuria caused by antipsychotic drugs.Methods The clinical data of 38 patients with dysuria caused by antipsychotic drugs were retrospective analyzed.Results Among the 38 patients,6 cases could urinate smoothly after bladder heat therapy treatment,12 cases after taking α1A blockers,6 cases after intramuscular injection of neostigmine,and 14cases needed urine catheterization.Conclusions Antipsychotic drugs can cause dysuria,but new atypical antipsychotics has lower incidence of causing dysuria.Physical therapy,using antagonist drugs,and urethral catheterization are the main treatment methods.
