Structural and optical properties of Ni doped ZnO films

Pure and Ni doped ZnO thin films are deposited on glass substrate using pulsed laser deposition technique. XRD results shows that all grown films are textured along c-axis. Dislocation density, lattice stress and strain of pure ZnO films decreases with Ni doping but increases with increase of OPP from 1 mTorr to 100 mTorr. Optical band gap energy of undoped ZnO films decreases with Ni doping, which can be correlated to Brustin Moss shift.
