Thermal conductivity of composite multilaminate insulations based on ZrO/sub 2/ and ZrC

A study was made of the thermal conductivity of multilaminate composite insulations consisting of alternating layers of zirconium carbide and oxide or a zirconium oxide-carbide cermet. The study was conducted in the temperature range 1100--2000 /sup 0/K by the method of steady radial heat flow through the specimen wall.
