The invention discloses video file playing method, devices and system and belongs to the technical field of multimedia. The method includes the following steps: determining a second playing device which carries out cross-screen binding with a first playing device; and transmitting video data of a video file synchronously to the first playing device and the second playing device so as to enable the first playing device and the second playing device to synchronously receive and play the video data. Through determining of the second playing device which carries out cross-screen binding with the first playing device, the video data of the video file is synchronously transmitted to the first playing device and the second playing deice so that the first playing device and the second playing device are enabled to receive synchronously and play the video data and thus synchronous playing of the video file does not rely on a hardware device so that application scenes are expanded and implementation cost is reduced; and at the same time, direct mutual connection of the first playing device and the second playing device is not needed, so that transmission quality of the video data is ensured and an effect of synchronous playing of the video file is improved.
