A Fan Ring Resonator Antenna For Generating High Gain PSOAM Mode-Group With Ultrahigh Equivalent Order

2021
The OAM-carrying beam has gradually become a research hotspot in radar, communication, and other fields because of its unique beam characteristics. Plane spiral OAM (PSOAM) mode-group (MG) is a superposition of the PSOAM waves that can control the beam with enough directivity while maintaining the vortex characteristics. Hence it has potential in the MIMO system to improve spectral efficiency owing to its gain and phase slope. In this paper, a fan ring resonator (FRR) antenna based on the partial arc transmitting (PAT) scheme is proposed. The antenna’s gain is 21.11 dB, and the equivalent order is 102.5, which has a qualitative leap compared with the existing antenna.
