The invention discloses special powder for laser combination manufacturing of a hot-working die and a preparation process of the special powder. The alloy powder comprises, by weight, 1-1.2% of carbon (C), 5-10% of chromium (Cr), 2-5% of tungsten (W), 3-5% of molybdenum (Mo), 4-5% of vanadium (V), 2-3% of niobium (Nb), 10-12% of cobalt (Co) and allowance iron (Fe). By the adoption of the special powder, laser combination manufacturing is conducted on a shearing die cutting edge of the hot-working die, and the performance is greatly improved with respect to hardness, wear resistance, toughness and impact resistance compared with that of H13. A cladding layer has high hardness, wear resistance, toughness and impact resistance performance and is excellent in comprehensive performance; the laser combination manufacturing process is wide in parameter range, simple and reliable; the service life of the hot-working die is prolonged substantially, and the reliability of the hot-working die is improved substantially.
