MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE COLLEGE OF THE SEQUOIAS COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT

Student Trustee Denae Moreno reported that the Student Leadership class and the EOPS Taylor’s Hotdogs donated hotdogs for the event. Giant Tech Prep Expo was held on March 25; students came from district high schools to compete in a number of competitions. On March 26, the ASB class held an Easter Egg Hunt for the children of the COS Child Development Center. ASB is currently assisting with a “Change-for-Change” fundraiser for earthquake relief for countries devastated by earthquakes this year. On April 13 ASB will host a fashion show and a blood drive will be held in the Quad. On April 16, the ASB class will clean up the Student Services patio area to make it a more inviting place for the students. ASB Spring Elections will be held on April 28 and 29. Also on April 28 and 29, students will be voting for their favorite adjunct and full-time faculty. The winners will be recognized at the Staff Appreciation Dinner on May 18.
