Wideband Millimeter-wave Array Antenna Using Highly Conductive Graphene Film

2019
In this work, a wideband and high gain millimeter wave array antenna based on highly conductive graphene film is designed, fabricated and tested. The proposed antenna consists of 4×4 radiation patches and a Chebyshev feed network, which are made of highly conductive multilayer graphene film with light weight and low cost. The simulated and measured results show that the highly conductive graphene printed antenna array can achieve a high gain of 17.5-18.7dBi and wide bandwidth from 22.7GHz to 25.2GHz. The comparison between the proposed antenna and the traditional metal antenna implies that the highly conductive graphene film has great potential in array antenna design and millimeter-wave applications.
