White film for reflector

Provided is a white film for a reflector comprising a light reflection layer having a void volume fraction of 55-80%, and a support layer of a biaxially stretched polyester film provided at least on one side of the light reflection layer characterized in that the ratio of the total thickness of the light reflection layer and the total thickness of the support layer is 85:15-98:2, the reflectance of the film is 98.0% or more, the punching energy by drop impact test is 0.10-0.30 J, and the film thickness is 150-250 [mu]m. The white film for a reflector can ensure high brightness when the white film is used as a reflector in the back light unit of a liquid crystal display, and can be used in the back light unit of a liquid crystal display which does not cause burrs or mustache-like portions at the time of punching and exhibits excellent punching properties.
