Numerical Simulation and Analysis of the Effect of Huanghua Harbour on Tidal Flow

With the application of Delft 3D-Flow model,the tidal current fields are simulated under the varied tidal types and the different engineering conditions.Furthermore,this model is used to study the influence of the harbor engineering on tidal current field and its possible impact on sediment back-siltation in the basin and outer navigation channel of the harbour.The numerical results show that,there is an obvious change of the flow field after the construction of the harbour,the tidal dynamic condition changes unsymmetrically,and the currents along the breakwaters and cross the channel entrance appear.These factors may enhance sediment siltation in the basin and navigation channel of the Huanghua harbour.
