An empirical rule of critical temperature in cuprate superconductors

1995
An empirical relation between superconducting transition temperature and the decomposition temperature has been established in cuprate compounds. The Neel temperature of some parent compounds of cuprate superconductors also shows a relation to the decomposition temperature. The empirical rule indicates that the lower the decomposition temperature, the higher the superconducting transition temperature in cuprate superconductors with optimum doping, and also the higher the Neel temperature for the corresponding parent compounds.
