Control method for reducing bi-directional forward converter switching tube voltage spike and loop current

2014
The present invention discloses a control method for reducing bi-directional forward converter switching tube voltage spikes and loop current, and aims at a working condition where a bi-directional forward converter transmits power from a low voltage side to a high voltage side. Low voltage side switching tubes QSR1 and QSR2 are in low level complementation switch control, high level common breakover time exists, and a high voltage side switching tube Q is closed all the time. Qg, Qg_SR1 and Qg_SR2 corresponds to drive control signals of the switching tubes Q, QSR1 and QSR2 respectively, a high level corresponds to opening of the switching tube while a low level corresponds to closing of the switching tube, and within one switching cycle, high level time of the Qg_SR1 is smaller than 1/2 of the switching cycle, a high level time of the Qg_SR2 is larger than 1/2 of the switching cycle, and the Qg maintains a low level all the time. The control method is easy to realize, voltage and current spikes and loop current of switching tubes of the bi-directional forward converter can be effectively reduced, security, efficiency and power density of the converter are raised, and the transmission power is also increased.
