Prostaglandin E2 effect from the luminal side on renal tubular 22Na efflux: tracer microinjection studies.

SummaryUsing renal micropuncture techniques, the effect of luminal PGE2 on the net efflux of simultaneously administered 22Na was examined in rats in hyper-tonic saline diuresis. [3H]Inulin and 22NaCl were microinjected into the lumen of late-proximal convoluted tubules with and without PGE2, and the urinary recovery of 3H and 22Na were followed.
