Predicting potential valley-point dates of stock market numerically based on ASF algorithm

A numerical prediction algorithm called addition-subtraction frequency (ASF) algorithm is presented in this paper to predict potential valley-point dates of stock market. In the paper, we use historical valley-point date data of Shanghai Security Exchange (SSE) Composite Index as the input of ASF algorithm. According to the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, the stock prediction in the next three to five years is reasonable, and therefore potential valley-point dates of SSE Composite Index of each year in the next five years are presented in the paper. By consistency analysis, the ASF algorithm indicates that 02/15/2017, 02/19/2017, 03/24/2017, 11/19/2017, 01/23/2018, 06/19/2018, 12/22/2018, 02/25/2019, 06/17/2020 and 09/09/2021 may be possible valley-point dates.
