Evidencias arqueológicas del uso social del cacao en la Alta Amazonía

2019
Archaeological research on the site Santa Ana-La Florida (Palanda) has allowed the identification of the social use of cacao (Theobroma cacao) on contexts dated at 5.000 years BP. The paper will focus on the types of evidence that were found; on the different methods of analysis applied in their identification; and a discussion on the archaeological contexts in which the evidence was found that places its social importance and its significance within the Mayo Chinchipe-Maranon society and in Amazonian archaeology.
