Profil des Examens dans le Service de Radiologie et d’Imagerie Médicale de l’Hôpital Mère Enfant Le Luxembourg

ABSTRACTBut. Nous avons initie ce travail dans le but d’evaluer les examens de radiologie realises dans le service  pendant une periode  de six mois. Patients et methodes. Il s’agit d’une etude prospective qui s’est deroulee pendant une periode d’etude de six mois allant du 1er juin au 31 novembre 2019 soit une duree de six (06) mois  dans le Service de Radiologie et d’Imagerie Medicale du centre hospitalier Mere Enfant le Luxembourg. Resultats. Au terme de notre etude il s’est ressorti que les examens de radiographie standard etaient realises a 54,51% avec une predominance des examens  osseux a 25,47%. Les examens scanographiques ont represente  33,92% des examens. On a note une predominance de TDM cerebrale a 59,35%. Les examens echographiques ont concernes 11,57% Pendant les gardes 19,49% des examens ont ete realises. Conclusion : L’imagerie medicale est devenue essentielle dans l’etude du corps humain et constitue desormais un outil indispensable a la detection et le traitement de la plupart des pathologies, de la simple fracture aux tumeurs les plus graves.RESUMEObjective: We initiated this work with the aim of evaluating the radiology examinations carried out in the department during a study period of six months. Patients and methods: This is a prospective study which took place during a six-month study period from June 1 to November 31, 2019, i.e. a duration of six (06) months in the Radiology Department and of Medical Imaging at the Mother Child Hospital Luxembourg. Result: At the end of our study, it emerged that standard radiography examinations were performed at 54.51% with a predominance of bone examinations at 25.47%. CT examinations accounted for 33.92% of the examinations. A prevalence of brain CT was noted at 59.35%. Ultrasound examinations concerned 11.57%. During the guards 19.49% of the examinations were carried out. CONCLUSION: Medical imaging has become essential in the study of the human body and is now an essential tool for the detection and treatment of most pathologies, from simple fractures to the most serious tumors.
