Target object display method and apparatus

Disclosed is a target object display method. The method comprises: performing multi-point touch event detection for a target object; judging whether a detected multi-point touch event is a preset first multi-point touch event or not, wherein the first multi-point touch event is used for triggering the operation of switching the target object to be in a privacy display mode; when the detected multi-point touch event is the first multi-point touch event, switching the target object to be in the privacy display mode, so that only the target object is displayed in the privacy display mode. According to the method, the privacy leakage risk possibly existent in an application scene for displaying the target object to other users by a user can be lowered.
