Diethyl (3-Trimethylsilyl-2-propynyl)phosphonate, a New Reagent for the Preparation of Terminal Conjugated Enynes
1991
The preparation and use of diethyl (3-trethylsylyl-2-propynyl) phosphonate as a reactant with aldehydes and ketones for the synthesis of terminal conjugated enynes is reported. The reagent is readily obtained and purified by simple procedures amenable to scale up. The scope of the Horner-Wafsworth-Emmons reaction using the reagent has been briefly explored
