Lange Erwerbsunterbrechungen von Frauen: Beruflicher Wiedereinstieg mit Hürden (Family related absence from work and the difficulties of a re-entry into the labor market)
2013
"This paper presents findings of the quantitative and qualitative evaluation of the pilot program 'Perspective of Women's Re-entry into the Labor Market'. The pilot program aims at supporting the re-entry of women into the labor market after a family-related absence from employment for at least three years. More than three quarters of participating women have been very satisfied or satisfied with the encouragement. Up to 33 months after program entry, about 70 percent have been working. Those who have taken up a job again are mostly working in part-time or marginal part-time. The reasons for this are manifold: For participating women, family has still high priority, but labor market conditions can be important, too." (Author's abstract, IAB-Doku) ((en))
