Molecular electronic device for constructing nanoelectronic circuits, molecular electronic assembly, electronic circuitry and fabrication methods

2001
A molecular electronic device for constructing nanoelectronic circuits comprises a redox-active moiety with an electron donor (D) and an electron acceptor (A), the electron donor and the electron acceptor (A) each having a contact point (K1, K2) for linking with other devices and allow contact points (K1, K2) has a charge carrier transport to the component and away from the component. In particular, the contact point (K1, K2) is of electron donor (D) and electron acceptor (A) in each case a permanent contact point to the switching of the charge carrier transport across a permanent chemical bond, wherein the pad comprises in each case one of the binding partner to the chemical bond. Several of such components can be assembled via the contact points to form an assembly or an electronic circuit.
