EDITH - A PROTOTYPICAL ARTICULATED BOOM SYSTEM FOR NET/ITER

The experimental device for in-torus handling (EDITH) in combination with a full scale mock-up simulating the upper or lower half of a torus sector is described. EDITH is the prototype of an articulated boom transporter (ABT) as it is the basis of the favourite handling system for short term interventions to maintain NET/ITER in-vessel components.
