Synthesis of an indole containing KDR kinase inhibitor by tandem sonogashira coupling-5 -endo -dig -cyclization as a key step

Abstract An efficient synthesis of the potent KDR kinase inhibitor 3-[5-[[4-(methylsulfonyl)-1-piperazinyl]methyl]-1 H -indol-2-yl]quinoline-2-(1 H )-one using a Sonogashira coupling-5- endo - dig -cyclization strategy is described.
