Research on Fleet Deployment for Liners under Low-carbon Economy Based on Simulation Optimization Method

With the global trend of environmental protection and emission reduction, it is very necessary for container liner corporation to consider carbon emissions in fleet deployment for liners. In this paper, we discuss the problem of fleet deployment for liners under low-carbon economy. With the target of maximizing profit of the fleet and the minimizing amount of carbon emissions, we establish the simulation optimization model of fleet deployment for liners and use the tabu search algorithm to obtain a reasonable fleet deployment scheme. The results show that the model and the method proposed in this paper can effectively balance and optimize the targets of operating profit and carbon emission, and the decision result is more in line with the requirements of the decision makers. Compared with the traditional mathematical model, this model and method can consider more uncertainties, which makes the fleet deployment scheme easier to be applied in practice.
