This article examines risk factors in strategic scanning projects. Based on an action research, the researchers trie to confront their observation with several hypothesis already identified in literature. They also have identified four new hypothesis which represent new research axes: (1) the necessity of a face to face communication (2) middle management involment, (3) the choice of the right time to implement the project (4) the choice of the project manager
