A NEW SPECIES OF SMALL COLORFUL HYLA FROM THE LOWLAND RAINFOREST OF AMAZONIAN ECUADOR

Hyla miyatai is described from the upper Rio Napo region of Ecuador. This new species is characterized by its small size, short truncate snout, concealed tympanum, and dorsal color pattern of bright red and yellow. It apparently breeds in deep, vegetation-choked streams.
