An Improved Nitroblue Tetrazolium Test and Its Correlation with Toxic Neutrophils

Modified nitroblue tetrazolium reagents and mild centrifugation are utilized to prevent the formation of smudgy cells, and to permit counting the neutrophils with ease. Results obtained by the modified method were evaluated and attempts were made to correlate these results with other neutrophil abnormalities.
