Method and system for deleting junk data

The invention discloses a method and system for deleting junk data. The method includes the steps that if a preset junk deleting condition is met, a server side reads all prestored terminal identifications from a database; the server side sends junk deleting instructions to terminals corresponding to all the terminal identifications; all the terminals receive the junk deleting instructions; all the terminals respond to the junk deleting instructions and read junk identifications stored corresponding to all the terminals from the database; all the terminals conduct local searching and delete local junk data corresponding to the read junk identifications. By the adoption of the method and system, the terminals can automatically delete the local junk data through single-machine operation on the server side, the single-machine operation for deleting the junk data does not need to be conducted on all the terminals, consumed time is short, the deleting efficiency of the junk data is high, and the regional impact can be avoided.
