Hot-dip galvanized steel wire excellent in torsion property

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high strength hot-dip galvanized steel wire which is hard to crack longitudinally (delamination) against torsion stress and has a wire diameter of 4.0 to 7.0 mm and a tensile strength of 1960 MPa or more.SOLUTION: The high strength hot-dip galvanized steel wire excellent in torsion property is provided which comprises as a steel component, a hot-dip galvanized steel wire containing, by mass%, C:0.8 to 1.05%, Si:0.15 to 1.3%, Mn:0.25 to 0.9%, Al:0.01 to 0.08%, N:0.002 to 0.006 and preferably at least one or more kind of Cr:0.5% or less, V:0.1% or less, Nb:0.1% or less, Mo:0.3%, W:0.5% or less and B:0.0025% or less and the balance iron with inevitable impurities, and in which a steel material part has a perlite structure subjected to wire drawing and an amount of diffusible hydrogen discharged at temperature from room temperature to 250°C during heating the steel material is 0.15 mass ppm or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
