α2C ADRENORECEPTOR AGONIST

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound useful for treatment, prevention, or amelioration of diseases and disorders associated with an α2C adrenoreceptor agonist. SOLUTION: In many embodiments thereof, new phenylmorpholine and phenylthiomorpholine compounds useful as the α2C adrenorceptor receptor agonist, pharmaceutical compositions comprising the compounds, and methods for the treatment, prevention, inhibition, or amelioration of one or more diseases associated with the α2C adrenoreceptor agonist using the compounds or the pharmaceutical compositions are provided. In the many embodiments, a new class of heterocyclic compounds as active or functionally selective α2C adrenoreceptor agonists, or metabolites thereof, stereoisomers (e.g. enantiomers or diastereomers) salts, solvates, or polymorphs are provided.
