Analysis on the epidemic trend of legal type A and B contagious diseases in Jiuquan during 2004 to 2010

Objective To understand epidemiological features of A and B category infectious diseases in Jiuquan city and provide evidences for disease prevention and control.Method Descriptive epidemiologic method was used for statistic analysis.Results A total of 15 kinds and 36 146 cases were reported and 67 cases were dead.Among them,1 was belong to category A infectious disease and 3 cases were reported and 2 were dead.The annual average morbidity was 517.31/100 000,the death rate was 0.95/100 000,fatality rate was 0.18%,the incidence rates were from 668.46 /100 000 to 341.36/100 000 from 2004 to 2010.The total morbidity rates decline in this years.Reported top three diseases were viral hepatitis,tuberculosis and dysentery.Conclusions It is necessary to strengthen the comprehensive control of common communicable diseases and improve the epidemic monitoring,flawless the emergency mechanism for unexpected public health events and infectious diseases control mechanism,development health education propaganda and improvement people's awareness of disease prevention,in order to reduce the spread of the diseases.
