Magnetic field-controlled shape memory in Ni52.5Mn23.5Ga24 single crystals

This paper reports a special magnetic field-controlled share memory behavior in single crystalline Ni52.5Mn23.5Ga24 upon the martensitic transformation. By selecting the strength and the direction of the magnetic field, the magnitude and direction of the share deformation can be changed optionally, showing a "multi-freedom" shape deformation.
