Two Dimensional Parameter Estimation of Near Field Source Based on Robust Propagator Method

2019
The problem of 2-D localization parameter of direction-of-arrival (DOA) and range estimation of near field multiple sources under ${\alpha }$ -stable distributed impulsive noise environments is studied in this paper. In order to effectively suppress the harmful effect of impulse noise on the performance of location parameter estimation algorithm, the fractional lower order statistical matrix of the array received signal is used to obtain the noise subspace by using the propagator method, and then the DOA and range parameter can be estimated by the 2-D spectral peak search of the MUSIC spectral spectrum. In order to reduce the enormous computational burden of 2-D spectral peak search, a root-MUSIC algorithm is further proposed by transforming the problem of peak search into the problem of finding roots of polynomials. Compared with the corresponding algorithms based on second order statistics, the proposed algorithms can effectively suppress the impulse noise by using the fractional lower order statistics. At the same time, the inherent large computational complexity cause by the eigenvalue decomposition and spectral peak search can also be avoided. Simulation experiments prove the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms.
