The invention discloses a productionmethod of alpha-polyoxymethylene. The productionmethod is characterized by comprising the following steps: formaldehyde with concentration of 50%-80% is added to a low-strength polymerizer and subjected to stirring polymerization during vacuum dewatering, and a preliminary polymerization product is obtained; the preliminary polymerization product is delivered to an inlet of a high-strength kneading polymerizer through an extruder, and vacuum dewatering is performed during delivery; when the preliminary polymerization product is input into the high-strength kneading polymerizer, formaldehyde with the concentration of 50%-80% at the temperature of 50-90 DEG C is added tothe inlet of the high-strength kneading polymerizer, vacuum dewatering is performed during stirring, a product is extruded from an outlet of the high-strength kneading polymerizer, ground and dried, and alpha-polyoxymethylene is prepared. Formaldehyde can be polymerized in a multi-stage manner without addition of any initiator, anhydrous alpha-polyoxymethylene is prepared, and the whole production method is simple to operate and low in production cost and can be widely applied to production of polyoxymethylene, polyoxymethylene dimethyl ethers and other substances.
