Where Plain and Plateau Meet: Recent Excavations at Shaws Creek Rockshelter, Eastern New South Wales
1981
We had three initial aims: to determine the depositional history of river, creek and shelter; to relate any excavated faunal remains to associated cultural material; and to establish a well-dated cultural sequence for this site paying due attention to spatial variation within the shelter. A final aim was to see how far our results confirmed or opposed conclusions drawn from other and earlier work in this geographical region.
