Eğri Çayı’na Deşarj Edilen Endüstriyel Atıksularının Karakterizasyonu ve Kirlilik Yüklerinin Belirlenmesi / Characterization of Industrial Wastewater Discharged Into Egri Stream and Determination of Pollution Load

OZET Bu calismada Adiyaman Organize Sanayi Bolgesi (AOSB) atiksuy u karakteristigi ve Egri Cayi uzerindeki etkilerinin belirlenmesi amaclanmistir. Calisma kapsaminda farkli mevsimlerde kompozit atiksu numuneleri alinarak analiz edilmistir. Iletkenlik, toplam cozunmus madde ve tuzluluk degerleri Kasim ayinda maksimum duze yde tespit edilmistir. Karisik endustriyel atiksu ile kirlenmis Egri Cayi suyu Yuzeysel Su Kalitesi Yonetimi Yonetmeligi’ne gore kotu sinif su kalitesindedir. Yapilan hesaplamalarda hem AOSB atiksuyu hem de Egri Cayi’nin yogun kirlilik yukune sahip oldugu belirlenmistir. Ayrica AOSB atiksuyu KOI, BOI 5 ve TP bakimindan da standart degerlerin cok uzerindedir. Bunlarin yaninda toksik sayilabilecek duzeyde agir metal de bulundurmaktadir ve bu sekli ile AOSB atiksuyu Egri Cayi, cevre halki ve Ataturk Baraj Golu icin tehdit edici unsurdur. AOSB atiksuyu agirlikli olarak tekstil ve gida endustrisinden olusmaktadir. Bu endustri atiksularinin desarji ile ilgili onlemlerin alinmamasi durumunda Egri Cayi su kalitesi, Ataturk Baraj Golu su kalitesi ve bu ortamlarin canl i su ekosistem ozelligini kaybetmesine yol acacaktir. ABSTRACT In this study, it was aimed to determine chracterization of Adiyaman Organized Industrial Zone (AOSB)’ s wastewater and its effects on Egri Stream. Withing the context of the study, in different seasons, composite wastewat er sapmles were taken and analyzed. Conductivity, total dissolved substances/solids were maximum in October. Water of Egri Stream polluted by mixed industrial wastewater has a bad status water quality according to Water Quality Management Regulation. In th e calculations, it was determined that both AOSB’s wastewater and Egri Stream have a hevay pollution load. Moreover, AOSB’s wastewater is much higher than the standard rates in terms of KOI, BOI 5 and TP. Apart from these, it also contains heavy metal tha t can be considered as toxic. AOSB’s wastewater is a threatening factor for Egri Stream, local people and Ataturk Dam Lake. AOSB’s wastewater mainly consists of textile and food industry. In case precautions about discharge of these wastewaters are not tak en, it will lead the water quality of Egri Stream and Ataturk Dam Lake to lose their feature of live aquatic ecosystem
