EFFECT OF SURFACE ALLOYING IN THE COURSE OF MECHANICAL-PULSE TREATMENT ON THE CORROSION RESISTANCE OF STEEL

2003
Surface alloying from special technological environments in the course of mechanical-pulse treatment enhances the corrosion resistance of specimens of medium-carbon steels, especially in the case of surface saturation with nitrogen, boron, and nickel. This technology is a promising and economical method for the enhancement of corrosion resistance of steels.
