Investigation on impedance-based active stabilizer of AC microgrids

Impedance model as a novel methodology can analyze clearly the system stability of microgrid caused by the interaction of loads, generators and utilities. This paper summarizes the possible design considerations of impedance-based active stabilizers (IBAS) followed by the summary of the impedance based stability criterion of microgrid. IBASs of AC microgrids are classified according to the location and the bandwidth of oscillation suppression, and the control structure, the implementation and the advantages are further investigated as well.
