The investigation of the treatment conditions in stable COPD patients in partial cities of China.

Objective To investigate and assess the condition of used medicine in the patiests with stable COPD in partial eities in China.Methods 723 stable COPD patiests and 258 physicians of respiratory department were interviewed face-to-face in outpatients' departments in 6 large cities in China.The questionnaire of physician included the condition of prescription medicine on initial and subsequent visit,their assessment of used medicine,effects of medicine on the patients with stable COPD,as well as the assessment of the patients' compliance,in addition,the condition used medicine,the kinds of used drugs,how to adjust the dose of drugs and the conditions of drug-withdraud reported by patients themselves.Results During the used medicine,including the answers of both physician,and patients,mucolytic agents ware arranged the first,next,β2-agonists,and yet anticholinergics in the fourth,82 percent of physicians considered that the patiest with COPDhad better compliance,but,in fact,aboat 50 percent of patieats changed their pharmacologic treatmeat plan,even stoped the medicine,once their ill condition was improved or relieved.Conclusion Anticholinergics was not used widespread in treatment of COPD patients,on the contrary,more mucolytic agents were used,Moreover,the patients'compliance was relatively poor and needed to be improve.
