MCFC-CCS: a radical new approach, with elimination of energy penalty

Molten carbonate fuel cells can make use of the carbon dioxide produced in fossil fuelled power plants to generate additional power. This provides the basis for a revolutionary new approach to carbon capture and storage in which the capture process has a positive energy balance rather than being a major consumer of energy.
