Analisis Pengaruh Motivasi Dan Kemampuan Dosen Terhadap Kinerja Dosen Di Provinsi Riau (Survey Pada PTS di Provinsi Riau)

Lecture performance is a key element in creating a quality student. This study wants to answer whether it also applies to the context of Private University lecturer in Riau Province. The study was conducted by using descriptive methods and verification. The sampling technique used is proportional cluster random sampling, using the sampling formula developed by Isaac and Michael, with a population of 1,866 Lecturers and the total sample of 236 respondents. The experiment was conducted at private universities in the province of Riau. Is an analysis tool used path analysis (path analysis). It can be concluded that: 1) the condition of ability, and the average lecture performance in the high category, except in the category of very high motivation. The relationship between the independent variables in the medium category, 2) there is a positive and significant effect on the motivation and ability of the lecturer's performance by 70.6%. The conclusions drawn are required to improve the performance of lecture lecturers ability to solve complex problems, need enhanced skills in the mastery of lecturers teaching materials and improved ability to evaluate the implementation of the training program conducted for lecture development capabilities. The study also found that an increase in the quality of graduates is influenced by the ability of lecture to develop instructional media, so that graduates can easily adapt to the environment according to scientific field
