Research of anti-fatigue effect of unfermented Pu-erh tea.
2010
The anti-fatigue effect of unfermented Pu-erh tea on mice was studied to provide some theories on the functionary mechanism of unfermented Pu-erh tea.80 mice were randomly assigned to blank control group, high dose, middle dose and low dose experimental groups according to their body weights.Normal saline of 0.9 % was administered in blank control group.Unfermented Pu-erh tea was administered in experimental groups with doses of 2.0,1.0,0.5 g/kg.bw,respectively.Each group was given same food and water. After 30 days, the swimming test were carried out and the death time was observed and recorded. After the mice swimming for a period, the mice blood was taken for determining blood lactic-acid,blood urea nitrogen(BUN) and lactate dehydrogenase. The liver and muscle was taken for determining liver and muscle glycogen. The results showed as follows: compared with blank control group,Unfermented Pu-erh tea of middle dose and low dose experimental groups can significantly prolong swimming time(P0.01),reduce lactic-acid(P0.01) and blood urea nitrogen level(P0.05),increase lactate dehydrogenase level(P0.01)and increase liver glycogen and muscle glycogen storage(P0.01) after swimming. So,Unfermented Pu-erh tea can alleviate physical fatigue of mice, and the middle dose experimental groups had significant anti-fatigue effect.
